Odysseus fought in the Trojan War.
He fought and fought but there were always more.
At last the great battle was won by he.
With his men and ships, they set out for sea.
Their plan was to arrive back to their home,
But Poseidon thought he would make them roam.
They met sorceresses, gods, and Cyclops.
Years went by, but their hope for home didn't stop.
Odysseus was the last to return.
To see his family was what he yearned.
Suitors tried to take his kingdom and wife.
Consequently, he chose to end this strife.
Now he is back home living with great joy.
Together with his family, life's coy.
School is boring and not fun,
it wastes so much time.
Think of all the great things i could be doing,
like drawing a picture or making a rhyme.
Some things we learn are useless in life,
such as finding the volume of a cone.
We get tons of tests and work to do,
boy, did I let out a big groan.
The hours are long and tiring,
we're forced to do things we don't want to.
Do you really think I care,
whether what happened in the book was true?
I stare at the clock and start to countdown,
one minute, one second, why is time so slow?
I wish the bell would hurry and ring,
because who wants to stay when school is their foe?
